We always knew Ashley Tisdale was busy, but we had no idea exactly what a day in the life of one of our fave Disney stars ever was until, well, until we stalked followed her and got to see it first hand. In just over 12 hours, Ash did interviews promoting Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure, filmed Hellcats, recorded in the studio for Phineas and Ferb, and walked the red carpet with her High School Musical besties Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron. But the most fabulous part of all? Her closet. You seriously need to see it to believe it.

April 19 is a big day for Ashley Tisdale. Not only does it mark the return of her camp-tastic cheerleading series “Hellcats,” but the debut of “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure” — the first “High School Musical” spin-off and Ashley’s first time as a movie’s lead!
So, yea, like I said … big day.
To celebrate the dual debuts, PopWrap caught up with the actress on a recent rainy day in New York City. First read what she has to say about “Hellcats” final five season one episodes and then watch her talk about slipping back into Sharpay’s pink pumps!
PopWrap: Tonight’s “Hellcats” looks amazing — but how exactly does the zombie invasion fit in?
Ashley Tisdale: The whole episode is about Dan, Savannah’s boyfriend, enrolling in Lancer and he has to do a short film as his application. The short film is The Zombies vs The Cheerleaders — very campy and scary. Since I’m the captain, I play the leader of everybody so I had all these funny lines. It’s such an amazing episode.PW: Getting a bit of your action hero on — kind of like a mini Sarah Connor!
Ashley: That was literally my inspiration when I had to cock a shotgun with one arm! It was really heavy. I can’t even explain it to you. I work out six days a week and the next morning, I could barely move! My arms, back and shoulders were killing from carrying it around everywhere.PW: When we last saw, Savannah had forgiven Dan, so is it all good now?
Ashley: It’s …. ok … question mark [laughs]. They’re ok for a couple that has gone through what they’ve gone through. Personally, I don’t think I’d ever take back a guy who did that, but I can see why Savannah did. This relationship really meant a lot to her because it’s out of the church and very different for her. She can see a future with Dan, so I think that’s in her head. Plus, people make mistakes — what happened with Dan and Marti might have just been a hiccup. She’s also thinking, “ok, you screwed up, now I’m in control.” She has the upper hand.PW: Which is how she likes it!
Ashley: Yea! Come on! Who wouldn’t? [laughs]
PW: What would you tease about the final few season one episodes?
Ashley: There’s a lot going on – Savannah’s been through a lot this season when it comes to guys and there’s still plenty of stuff coming up with Dan. Also, her sister is pregnant and she found out who the father of that baby is. There’s some big surprises coming up in her family. Plus, Nationals is around the corner and we’re all buckling down for that. There’s a lot of shocking twists and turns coming up! Oh, and big finale cliffhangers for sure.
Ashley Tisdale, Robbie Jones, Matt Barr and Heather Hemmens appeared at Wet Republic yesterday (October 3rd, 2010). We’ve added to the gallery a bunch of HQ photos from this event, so make sure to check them out!

While watching any weekend football game makes it obvious that there are cheerleaders present in the United States, our Jim Halterman decided to venture all the way up to Canada to chat face to face with some actors who are spending their days in front of the camera portraying cheerleaders in the new CW television series, “Hellcats.” As episode three readies to air tonight, the young cast told Halterman how they’ve gotten used to the cheerleading choreography, how one character’s religious beliefs play a big role in the show and how complicated all the romantic entanglements will becoming in upcoming episodes.
If you have yet to check out the series, “Hellcats” starts with financially strapped Marti (Aly Michalka of Aly & AJ pop song fame) joining the Lancer College cheerleading squad on scholarship so she can continue her law studies. This being the CW, however, we won’t be stuck in the classroom for long as intense rivalries romantic complications come into the mix almost immediately. For example, Marti’s roommate/fellow cheerleader Savannah (“High School Musical’s Ashley Tisdale) beginning to date Marti’s best friend (Matt Barr) while Marti’s new beau (Robbie Jones) just happens to be the ex of the venomous Alice (Heather Hemmens). Add Gale Harold to the series for those wanting a more adult hunk (he plays Marti’s law professor) and you have quite a tangled chain of events stirring within “Hellcats.”
Ashley Tisdale is best known for her role as teen drama queen Sharpay in the “High School Musical” film series – and Sharpay will return in 2011 in the Disney Channel movie, “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.” But for now, Ashley has moved on and is putting her athletic skills to the test as cheerleader Savannah Monroe in the new CW series, “Hellcats.”
ET: How did you get ready for the audition?
Ashley Tisdale: My sister was a cheerleader all through high school and college, so she helped me out when I was auditioning. She was: “Put your arms this way, because cheerleading is definitely different from dancing. It is stiffer.”
ET: Did you and Aly Michalka know each other before you were both cast in “Hellcats”?
Ashley Tisdale: When we were 12 or 13, actually, I met Aly and [her sister] AJ in acting class. I always found them to be sweet girls. Obviously, we were on Disney, but we crossed paths. “Phil of the Future” [the show Aly was on] was before I came on with “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.” It is really cool how we ended up screen-testing together.
ET: What do you like about Savannah? Ashley Tisdale: I like her clothes. She has like a Southern flair.… When I think of a Southern chick, I think of little dresses all the time. She comes from a wealthy family. She is always in little floral outfits.
Digital Spy has a new article about Ashley Tisdale and her character on Hellcats. Spoiler Alert: do not read below if you don’t want spoilers!
