Right in time for the new episode, I have some sad news.

As (sort of) was to be excepted, the CW decided to cancel “Hellcats” after only one season. :(

There is still plenty of stuff to add to the site, so I will keep it open and updated for as long as I can. And since the show is still airing in the UK (if not, please let me know), I hope this site will be a good reference for fans over there :)

The “deadline” for the project has been extended to May 12/13th so get those pictures or videos in. If you are part of a cheerleading squad or know people who know how to cheer, get them to do a little routine, paint your nails in Hellcats colors… whatever it takes.

Instead of just repeating, I posted the comment I got this morning. I think it’s a great idea and it only take a couple of minutes to e.g. make a little sign, snap a picture and send it too these guys. Of course, if you’d rather film yourself doing a fancy cheering routine yourself, that’d be awesome.

As you may or may not know, the ratings for show aren’t as great as they could be. May sweeps is just around the corner and the show is on the bubble.

SpoilerTV has now realeased a poll and you can vote for the shows you’d like to see renewed for another season. In a weeks, they will send out the results to the studios/networks. So make sure you cast a vote for Hellcats and drop a comment, saying who you voted for and why. There is still hope…

BURBANK, CA (September 3, 2010) – On September 4, The CW Network plans to turn Frisco Memorial Stadium in Frisco, TX into Cheerleader Headquarters in advance of the premiere of its new fall series HELLCATS, beginning September 8th and starring Aly Michalka (“Bandslam”) and Ashley Tisdale (“High School Musical”). The CW Network is attempting to break the Guinness World Records™ mark for the “Largest Cheerleading Dance” at a single venue by inviting cheerleading squads to participate in a 5-minute choreographed HELLCATS dance.

To help HELLCATS achieve a new Guinness World Records™ mark, The CW Network is working with the Cheer Channel, the first and only online network that serves as the premier destination for the millions of cheerleaders, dancers, and fans of the spirit industry, to rally the squads and get them prepared for the synchronized event. Cheer Channel coaches will rehearse the official “Hellcats” cheer with participants prior to the official attempt to break the existing record. Friends, family, and fans are invited to the event to support all the participants.
