According to Kahn Artists At Large and thanks to Tariel for the heads up, now we know that Kate Johnson will play a role in Hellcats, a guest star role. There aren’t informations about who she’ll play on the show, but stay tuned for any possible update!

Lesly Kahn & Company is reporting that one of their students, Kate Johnson, has been booked for a guest starring role in Hellcats. You may recognize Kate from Persons Unknown, a summer series on NBC. No word yet on who she will play. (Source)

There is a new interview from Calgary Herald about Allie Bertram. She talks about her career, Hellcats and much more. Read below…

In September, she will be a part of the regular cast of Hellcats, a Glee-like entry from the CW about college cheerleaders. She’ll play a member of a holy-rolling squad called the Memphis Christian Cyclones, who are from a Catholic school and the chief rivals of the title characters led by Ashley Tisdale of High School Musical fame.

“Glee was such a huge hit,” she says. “It has a similar concept, but it is different. It’s with university so it’s a bit older and it’s cheerleading as opposed to the glee club. The actors have been learning to dance and to cheer and the cheerleaders have been learning to dance. The great thing about it is the choreographer is Paul Becker, who I worked with on So You Think You Can Dance. I knew the choreographer before I even auditioned.”

Like Smallville, Hellcats is executive produced by Clark Kent himself, actor Tom Welling. Since Bertram’s role in Smallville had her acting alongside Welling, she is hoping it leads to more face time and lines in future Hellcat episodes. She has also shot a pilot entitled Enviro Revolution, where she is the host of a program that celebrates green-minded young people.

Thanks to Michelle for the heads up it seems that Aaron Douglas’ Hellcats character has changed his name. Previously he’s called “Bill Curran”, now the new name is Bill Marsh (William “Bill” Marsh), according to the latest casting sides (August 20th) Michelle posted on her site.

A couple of weeks ago Aaron told me that his character on Hellcats was ‘William Marsh’. I didn’t post the news as I was waiting for him to respond to my “huh, I thought your character was Bill Curran, did they change his name?” question. In the ‘Chicagoist’ interview with Aaron he says that his character is “Bill Curran, head of athletics for a university”. When I saw that I thought to myself “oh, so it is Bill Curran, not Bill Marsh”. The interview was posted online on August 17th but I don’t know when it was actually conducted.

Today when I was looking at the Hellcats casting sides I found one dated August 10th for a character called “William ‘Bill’ Marsh”.  Part of it reads “INT. OFFICE OF THE HEAD OF ATHLETICS” and then it goes into a scene with “Bill” in his office on the phone. Sounds like ‘Bill Curran’ and ‘Bill Marsh’ are the same character.
