CW announced Fall Premieres dates for their shows, coming this fall. The Series Premiere of Hellcats will be on Wednesday, September 8 (9/10 ET and 9/8c).  Read the press release below!

On Wednesday, September 8, Cycle 15 of the hit reality series AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) kicks-off the 2010-2011 season, followed by the series premiere of new drama HELLCATS (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET). HELLCATS is a pumped-up drama about a young pre-law student (Aly Michalka, “Bandslam”) whose world is turned upside-down when she loses her scholarship and has to join the college’s competitive cheerleading squad. This fun, energetic series is a behind-the-scenes look at the drama, politics and pressure surrounding the football program at a Southern university. Ashley Tisdale (“High School Musical”) also stars as a young woman who is totally committed to the cheerleading squad to realize her dreams

The CW’s fall premiere schedule:

9:00-10:00 p.m. “HELLCATS” (Series Premiere)

There are some news about Elena Esovolova (Patty Wedgerman) and her role in the show.

A CW spokesperson has told us (via AfterElton.com) that Elena Esovolova will play a lesbian cheerleader in the new series Hellcats, debuting this fall.

Esovolova will play Patty “The Wedge” Wedgerman. How did she get that nickname? I guess finding out gives us one more reason to tune in. Patty is described as “ballsy, fearless and cheerfully profane” and is the “base” for the Hellcats. (I’m told that “base” is a great position for any aspiring lesbian.)

Hellcats is from executive producer Tom Welling of Smallville and executive producers Kevin Murphy (Desperate Housewives) and Allan Arkus (Heroes). Yes, you can insert your joke about obsession with lesbian cheerleaders here.

According to On Location Vacations Hellcats filmings will start on July 14th.

Two other CW series are set to film in Vancouver this summer too. Life Unexpected returns July 13th while the new series Hellcats, starring Ashley Tisdale, will begin filming July 14.
